Don’t ‘Blow’ a gasket this winter
The WinterCare inspection from Monorep can help identify any potentially cold weather problems before they happen. Once complete, your vehicles cooling system will be capable of withstanding the severest of British winters offering protection down to minus -38`c. The 10 point inspection includes the following; and once complete, and any problems rectified, Monorep will repair free of charge* any defects to your Vauxhall cooling system until 30/04/2008 or 6000 miles (whichever comes first).
- 1st Pressure test of the cooling system.
- Check heater radiator hoses for leaks including clip tension.
- Electric fan operation and fanbelt condition (if applicable).
- Visual inspection of radiator, header tank/expansion bottle, header tank expansion valve.
- Check engine coolant hoses for leaks including clip tension.
- Check thermostat housing and sealing joints for leaks.
- Check waterpump and gasket for leaks.
- External inspection of cylinder head and cylinder block for leaks.
- Drain cooling system and refill with GM longlife antifreeze to a 50% solution.
- 2nd and final system pressure check
*excludes impact damage to radiator
